すみながし【墨流し】
(1)「墨流し染め」の略。
(2)水面に字や絵をかく方法。 小豆粉・黄柏(オウハク)・ミョウバンを麻布に包んで水で濡らし, 紙に字・絵をかいたのち, その紙を水に浮かべて軽く突くと紙は沈み, 字や絵だけが水面に残る。
(3)タテハチョウ科のチョウ。 開張約65ミリメートル。 はねは薄墨色で複雑な白斑があり, 緑青色の光沢がある。 口吻は赤色。 本州以南, 台湾まで分布。
